Different scenarios are based around a pool. The pool is located in a lake. The water is low and the surface is frozen, there is no movement in the pool, whilst the surface of the lake moves naturally. Figures are sitting on the starting blocks, but all they do is sit and stare. The sound emphasises on the bizarre images

PULSE New York, March 5-8, 2015

PULSE New York, which has realigned with Armory Arts Week, is excited to present a full series of programs and events designed to foster the discovery of new works. The programming for PULSE New York will reinforce Director Helen Toomer’s desire to create a dynamic environment focused on cultivating connections within the art industry and actively engaging visitors.

PLAY, the fair’s showcase for video and new media presented by Tumblr, is curated by Billy Zhao, Special Projects Associate at the Marina Abramovic Institute (MAI). This selection of artists and works align with the theme of The Future, and approach collective progress through speculative criticism, testing desired and undesired consequences. “Bridging together raw aesthetics and theatricality, the works will reveal interpretations of The Futurethrough a reflection of their contemporary setting,” says Zhao. See the selections on the PULSE Tumblr. The works selected for this edition’s PLAY include:
